[ABOVE] A cabinet portrait of a short young woman by James Russell & Sons, Photographers, East Street, Chichester (c1879). This portrait was photographed at Russell & Sons' studio in East Street, Chichester, but the publicity on the reverse of the card also refers to the branch studio at Bath Place, Worthing. Russell & Sons'  studio in Worthing was taken over by Edward Pattison Pett around 1881. [ABOVE] The publicity printed on the reverse of the cabinet portrait illustrated on the left. (c1879). On the cabinet card, James Russell & Sons, Portrait & Landscape Photographers of  East Street, Chichester, and at Bath Place, Worthing, are described as "Photographers to the Royal Family". The card was printed by Marion and Co. of Paris.
