Nicola Cassinello

[ABOVE] A photographic view of a house in the countryside by Nicola Cassinello of No. 9 Edward Street, Brighton. Carte-de-visite No. 374 (c1865).  Nicola Cassinello was primarily an "outdoor photographer", producing photographic views of buildings or taking portraits on location.

[LEFT] The trade plate of of No. 9 Edward Street, near Grand Parade, Brighton, as shown on the reverse of a carte-de-visite (c1865). Although he resided in Edward Street  Nicola Cassinello did not operated a portrait studio at this address. The few portraits that Nicola Cassinello produced during his stay in Brighton were taken out-of-doors, on location.
